AI for conservation
We provide AI-driven wildlife counting as a service for conservation across Africa.
The Challenge
Wildlife counting and surveys continue to be a difficult manual human-driven process - they require surveyors to remain focused as they attempt to count large numbers of wildlife from the inside of a small moving aircraft, often for many hours at a time.
The Mission
We believe that part of the future of wildlife conservation in Africa lies in big data analytics and that AI can be the tool that gets us there – by working together with machines, wildlife stakeholders can accomplish more by doing less.
The Future
We make it easy for wildlife stakeholders to measure the efficacy of their conservation efforts with accurate, up to date, and verifiable estimates of the large wildlife in their parks. Our AI-driven platform brings a new level of efficiency to conservation. Wildlife stakeholders can upload the aerial images they capture by drones, helicopters, or other light aircraft for our AI to process and produce high-level analytics of the identified wildlife and their numbers - turnaround times for AI-driven analysis is hours compared to months in human-driven photo-based surveys.

With intelligent visibility from the sky, there is a unique opportunity to have a positive impact on wildlife conservation.
